I dont post my completed work much, as it's so few in between. But these were a lot of fun and felt they should be shared.

The first is the Airfix A-4B painted up in VX-5 markings. The tail band is painted on using Tamiya tape and Steel Beach vinyl masks. Awesome product! The rest of the decals are from my spares, mostly cut up individual letters/numbers. Accurized the kit for an early B-model based on a ton of info from Tommy Thomason aka "Tailspin". I scratch built the cockpit details (I hate using decals) and added a resin ejection seat, plus many other smaller details.

Next up is the Academy A-10. The idea came from the USN CoNA's retro schemes, I thought it would cool to see an A-10 painted up like it's namesake, the P-47 Thunderbolt. I know the Indian ANG had a bird similiar, but mine is different. A nice kit with great fit, but needed some additions. I replaced the kit seat with another from the spares box, scratch built the rear wall and side consoles. A PE HUD was also added replacing the blob of clear plastic. Weapons were added from the kit and Hasegawa sets (rocket pods and LITENING II). The decals were sourced from a P-47 sheet and kit decals. Even the tail number is accurate for a real Hawg.
