haneto
After making the Airfix MiG-29 9-12 three years ago,the new released ICM9-13 is always attracting me. So finally I chose to begin with it,with lots lots lots...of aftermarket accessories. The biggest problem of ICM kit is the same with Italeri kitâ€â€Ã¢â‚¬â€wrong shaped windshield and canopy. I made the master and my friend vacformed several for me. But unfortunately I failed too many times so this one you can see on the fuselage is the lst one. Once again,I cut it too much and had to increase the height by plastic card from beneath. This time I want to make canopy movable so the fitting issue is very important. haneto
Cockpit is covered with PART PE "armors",and as usually, the fitting is quite bad...... Control panel is extremely difficult to fit into the fuselage......I still have no confidence to fix the problem so I would paint these parts at first. K-36DM ejection seat from my friend's home made copy, with some junk PE parts. So that's the beginning. To be continued...... Yufei
Sebastijan
Part PE set, despite the bad fit, looks like it will bring the model to a whole other level... Can't wait to see the pit painted!

Yes,I have recognized that...... Part PE set really fits s*ck.....just like last time I used on Mi-24 and MiG-31. Well,I think I will make it an RusAF operational bird, maybe the one named after HSU again. What's your idea, guys?
Laurent
Yes,I have recognized that......Part PE set really fits s*ck.....just like last time I used on Mi-24 and MiG-31. Someone told me that Part PE isn't designed to be integrated to a particular kit. Measurements or pics of 1/1 scale thingies are taken and Part reduces them to 1/72. No integration done so that's why fit is, er, interesting.

I have to seperate one PE parts into several......
haneto
for the 9-13 this is my favourite camo and markings.maybe you could build this one? That scheme si exotic! But since my MiG-31 and Su-27 are all in RusAF scheme,so I'd like to make it a Russian bird. "The Three Musketeers "~~~

I have their MiG-25PD from a friend on ARC. I used Eduard MiG-29 PE in my last built of Airfix MiG-29,which is OOB right now. And that one looks quite familiar with Bilek's. mario krijan
That aircraft is not part of RuAf, it is left to Uzbek AF, if I am right!
kotey
MiG-29 from Kokaity was left to Uzbek AF, and anyway there is not any authentic information about camaouflage spots on upper surfaces of BuNo 44. Sometimes it used with overpainted red stars, later it was repainted during overhaul at L'vov ARZ. If you like 4-coclours Mig-29 probably better make BuNo 08, it was donated from 115-th Fr (Kokaity) to MiG bureau, later repainted in yellow-black demo scheme and crashed at Fairford during two MiG-29's crash. But i'm more like grey-green MiG-29's schemes. Edited July 6, 2009 by kotey

172flogger
Would you mind take photos of the EDmodels set?I have their MiG-25PD from a friend on ARC. I bought ICM MiG wih PE at eBay.com, funny from Czech seller. Here in CZ isn't official EDModels distribution, maybe ZlÃÂnek have their PE. Laurent
Check this photo: http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/3614/ed...s72002mig29.jpg It looks like EdModels is a label of Eduard for the Russian market: the PE and instruction sheet are made by Eduard.
172flogger
It looks like EdModels is a label of Eduard for the Russian market: the PE and instruction sheet are made by Eduard. Yes, both EDmodels and BÃÂlek MIG-29 colour sets are designed by Eduard as oem product. There are two older Eduard Fulcrum sets: - Eduard Zoom SS183 (2002, for Italeri kit): http://www.eduard.cz/products/pdf/nss/ss183_1.pdf and http://www.eduard.cz/products/pdf/nss/ss183_2.pdf - Eduard 72006 for Italeri - old set from early Eduard days, maybe 1991 Another Czech company Extratech did EX72058 set for Airfix or Italeri kits: http://www.modelsforsale.com/listphotos/EX72058.jpg
haneto
New Progress! I scratch-built some small parts additionally. Masking for both inner and outer side of windshield/canopy. As the sealing material is actually applied from inside canopy,so that's why I masked inside too. Here I sprayed the yellow-brownish white for seal material from inside canopy firstly. Heating slices on windshield are also sprayed after cockpit colour is applied. And of course, once again from inside.
haneto
Back mirrors painted. Actually they were on one PE part but I just cut them alone for assembling conveniece. And it was only after the control panel applied,I can add the cover above it by Evergreen 0.14mm plastic sheet. After painting, apply the HUD with some addtional parts and wiring needed. K-36DM ejection seat.
