4scourge7
Airfix have released the new-tool Sea Harrier FA.2 and it`s nice price, nice quality. Nice panel lines, a step up from their GR.7, bulged tyres, weapons options, a spartan cockpit that can easily be fixed. Big thumbs up, onwards and upwards Airfix, nice one! Cheers, Ian
Tomcat Trebor
It should make building a FA.2 a lot easier than the Xtrakit version. Robert

Of course some detailing could be done by the modeller, but nothing disasterous or extereme seems needed. It`s a nice kit at a nice price.
Flankerman
It looks like there might be two options for the intake blow-in doors - open or closed !!! Ken

armada68
Finally, a decent Sea Harrier! Does anyone know if the belly rails for AIM-120s are included? I suspect it wouldn't be too hard to scratch build. I'm betting there will be resin updates for cockpit etc very soon.
Serelle
Great news, right to my wish list! One question, is the Airfix FRS.1 1/72 quoted as "New Arrivals" at Hannants the same quality of this FA.2? Serelle
Richard M
Yes!
ChernayaAkula
Thanks for sharing those pics, Ian! Much appreciated! Placed an order for a couple of FRS.1s and FA.2s on eBay.
ST0RM
Wow, a kit I'm actually excited about. I've been wanting an FA.2 for a very long time. Thanks! -JS
Julien (UK)
I do wish they would not split the exhausts like that. Still Heritage do a nice set. Julien
cvrle
Already ordered B) (and the Mig-15) Now if only they would tool-up the rest of the 1st Gen Harriers to this level... Hint, hint Airfix
Vultures1
Great news, right to my wish list! One question, is the Airfix FRS.1 1/72 quoted as "New Arrivals" at Hannants the same quality of this FA.2? Serelle Yes. I saw both the FRS1 and the F/A2 at Telford and they are both new tools to the same high quality. My first impressions were that the F/A2 had something slightly odd about the radome (although easily fixable) but that both it and the FRS1 looked really good and, for the price, they were definite 'must haves'. Hope that helps Chris
ranakoshgelam
It looks very nice, now lets hope they would make a new tool of the Harrier T.10/
peebeep
I do wish they would not split the exhausts like that. For injection moulding it's either do them like that, or mould the solid blobs that come with the 1/48 GR3 kit, or a more expensive kit with separately moulded casing and vanes. As you say Heritage do some replacements and I would hope the release of these kits might prompt the aftermarket guys to do various goodies to dress them up. peebeep
Thorsten Wieking
I wonder if there are some parts in the kit that are inferior to the Xtrakit offering. That way, I would have reason to keep my 3 kits. (Okay, I would keep one just for the archive....) ;-) Cheers Thorsten
