rom
thanks guys! thanks Brandon! :) As for my weathering technique, it's quite simple. I start with a black preshading. I use Humbrol 85. Then i spray my color in a irregular way ... As if I coloured with a pencil I fill the center of panels and let the preshading effect visible trough. Then i spray lighter color, always in a not regular way, trying to create patches and spots... A contrasting effect now happens between the two shades.... You can do the same operation with darker color... it will give more variation, but dont overdo it... A tip for weathering effect on Navy planes : I spray some lines with a brown/rust color, then i overspray them with a narrower line of light grey look : After the painting process, i spray a coat of future/klir; i put the decals, and spray again klir on them Then i apply a Humbrol black wash, wich i wipe with a coton swab dipped in thinner in the relative wind direction. It lets some traces. Then i let some oil paint spots ( brown, yellow...) wich i wipe with a brush I hope i'm clear... dont hesitate for further questions!! bye
