I hope I'm *finally* looking at decent tool MiG-15 in 1/72!!!!!

What's wrong with the HB one ? Given what Hornby has produced up until now (not really gems but good basic solid kits), I'm not sure that the Airfix kit will be a huge improvement.

Sprueshots anyone ?

Apologies for the quality, pics taken with a very average phone camera:

The kits will attract a lot of comment in respect of panel lines, but otherwise look very nice on the sprue.

I would say that is pretty fair comment.

Agreed ... so far it's looking "good" on the sprue ... but in mind of the latest releases I really don't understand, why they don't manage to get the panel lines to a reasonable size.

Yes, they are not as deep as the ones from Matchbox ... but that was about 30 years before, when I started building. Just compare what ESCI and later on Italeri made years ago ... not to mention, what others can to today... it's not understandable !
