Mattcooke
Hi guys, I finally finished my first diorama. This diorama contains a Bf 109G-6 of Fw. Fritz Ungar.I really had alot of fun building this diorama and I hope that you guys enjoy it too. :( Now on to the specifics of the diorama. The Bf 109G-6 is the Hasegawa 1/72 Bf 109G-6.The decals are Eaglecal. The Schwimmwagen is from the Academy set with the fuel truck. All of the figures are from Preiser. The tree and the shed are scratchbuilt. The tree is made from wire and some vegetation I bought and the shed is made from balsa wood. gambit3131
I have to say, until I saw the last picture, I thought this diorama was much larger than what it is. Fantastic job.

imwhoim01
Excellent diorama! Nice composition, and lots of figures, and such a small scale (i'm a fan of 1/48, not 1/72 but this is great)
model_madness
Hey Matt now that is super lad! Love the detail you put into it, including them playing cards to while the time away ;) Also, that canopy over the engine is , very realistic. Excellent pics too, you got the hang of that macro mode eh?

Jamie Cheslo
Hi Daniel; That is some wonderful work there. I think there is something very special about dioramas as they bring the model to life by placing it into a context. I think you did an excellent job in accomplishing that. I especially liked the realistic activities that you had the figures doing, such as the crew in the hut. How did you make the tarp that covers the engine cowling? I thought that looked very realistic. Keep up the amazing work!
Iron Eagle
Wow Daniel, that's a magnificent diorama! I love the engine cover and the wet look of the runway. How long did it take you?
kap64
Looks great! I wish I could get people to look good like that.
dreammh
You must have Superman's eyes. I can't believe the whole thing is so small.

Mattcooke
Thank everybody for your comments.Really appreciated. This keeps me building. Well this was my first but I have to say I really enjoyed it.I'm planning on building another but this time I'm going to try armour.I'll post pics when it's done if you want to see it.I'm still planning though on building AC diorama's in the future.I really like the concept of dioramas. Jamie Cheslo:The tarp is just a plain tissue cut in the appropriate size and then I made it wet and laid it on the propeller. Then I let it dry and painted it.It's as simple as that. Some people also use some white glue in the water so it's stays more in place. Iron Eagle:I've been working on this diorama a long time.I've been working on it on and off.I've made lots of changes since the beginning.I made two sheds, two trees, etc. It was alot of work but it was worth it. Thanks again everybody for your comments. Daniel
