Recommended Posts

Shock and surprise for me ! ;)

Coming soon - November 2009: http://www.rvresin.com/Plastic_kits.html

I know only this:

New tool (not Academy or Zvezda).

Plastic kit. Not resin. Two sprues, engraved panel lines

Two kit versions (standard and hi-tech), decals from MPD

After ML and ML will be BN and B, later maybe MIG-27 and MIG-23U

regards,

Lukas

BTW: I'm not R.V.Resin copartner

I bet it is the famous Kopro kit....

Not that it is bad. But still, this is very surprising, and damn, please let it be good!

PS: Can you guys imagine the look on Ray's face? ^_^

I wonder if this is what became of the new tooled Floggers that were supposedly coming from Kopro?

Was it not Kopro that was showing off new tooled 1/72 Floggers at the Neuremburg toy fair earlier in the year or some similar event?

Well, guess what, the model showed at the show was just a rescribed Academy kit. Yeah. Here is the famous Kopro MiG-23 thread, full og ups and downs...

Sadly the sprue shot linky doesn't work anymore. So, you can't see if the kopro kit was supposed to be of two sprues. I remember it had nice panellines.

Well, the word on the street from a czech source says that KP will do the BN, while this kit is a new one, not related to the KP kit. Well, we will have to wait and see.

This gets interesting.

It's kinda surprising that out of the blue we have a new manufacturer who's going to offer a full range of Flogger kits. Considering the costs of creating an injection molded kit and the fact that this seems to be a fairly small enterprise, I'm a bit suspicious.

Are we possibly talking about a Streem Fencer type short-run kit..?

WRONG SCALE... :jaw-dropping:

I concur. At least there are some half-decent 1/72 kits, unlike in 1/48. And MiG-23 is not a big airplane so in 1/72 it's a bit small for me. Hopefully that Trumpeter kit will eventually get produced and be decent for a change (i.e. not requiring to spend amount equal to kit's price on resin, too, just to get it to have a proper canopy and nose; not to mention cockpit and exhausts). And where's that Su-24??

Streem kind of detail with Revell calibre tooling would be a dream. Heck, Revell detail with Revell calibre tooling would be a dream.

Still... waiting for more info before I get excited. I have a sneaking suspicion this will end up being a massive disappointment in one way or another.

I have that to...I just didn't want to say it, because now that would be party pooper. :D

Again, from czech source: Apparently his (R.V.Resin) drawings have gotten some critique...Atleast the S-199 (czech produced Me-109) and Gripen. There is even an error where side view did not correspond with top view. That is quite bad if you ask me. I am saying all this because you would think the kit will be based on those drawings, which looks nice, but may be inaccurate. Flogger people, take a look here and judge for youselfs:
