Pete
Someone on Britmodeller noticed this new release by Revell for next year: Revell C-54. It says April 2015, but I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out a bit later. Kinda surprised there isn't a thread about it yet here on ARC.
Steve N
Awesome! All those old Mach 2 kits just became worthless. I wonder how many conversion projects of the Heller DC-6 will now be abandoned. SN
MacStingy
Sign me up! The North Star was the first A/C I ever flew in. I was 7 or 8 and it was a TCA evening flight from Montreal to Toronto. Caused a bit of a stir, when I looked out the window to see flames shooting out the exhaust and announced to the cabin that the engines were on fire. OOPS. Cheers Paul
famvburg
Well, I just put 2 DC-6 to DC-4 conversions on the back burner! While both are to make DC-4s, 1 was to put B-25 props and cowls/engines on to make a Super DC-4 firebomber and the other was to turn in to a North Star! I'm not afraid of Mach 2 kits, but they are hard to find and expensive! Thanks for the info!
Jennings
Awesome! All those old Mach 2 kits just became worthless. Actually they were pretty much worthless when they were made...
chriss7606
Sooo.. Jennings.. Is there a possibility that we might see decals for the Blue Angels R5D?

chriss7606
Yep! I'm in for 2 then! Now I can do the whole Blue Angels Tiger team in 1/72 and not spend a fortune on the Mach 2 kit which, apparently, my gut feeling about it was right.
DonSS3
Why didn't they release this when I was still doing 1/72?
Rex
Both 1/72 scale modelers had a meeting and decided "if Don leaves us, we will release this kit" the last 1/72 guy will get both an FJ-3 Fury and an F9F-6 Cougar right after I leave the scale

Jennings
I hope I can make a C-54M from it. I'm not aware of any specific external difference between a garden variety C-54 and a C-54M.
