Best 1/72 AH-64 out there?

Recommended Posts

I would go with the Academy kit and Hobby Boss kit. Use the Hobby Boss kit as a donor kit for tail rotor and main rotor. Check out Armycast, for their AH-64 resin, IAF Peten decals, and Peten conversion set. Here is a link to a build I did several years back that may help with your build. Hope these help.

Bulldog..I'm going for an AH-64d Saraf with the resin parts from Armycast. Question- do I need just the rotors from HobbyBoss or a larger part of the tail.?

Am I missing anything else ?

Hello Via,

You will only need the rotor parts. The tail rotor and main rotor will fit the Academy shafts.

Whoa, wasn't aware that there are test shots out already!

It's looking good, It will find a way into my stash :)/>/>

Oh Baby! An accurate AH-64D in 1/72!!! I Google translated and got some garbled English, but enough to ID this as an upcoming Academy release. Does anybody have more info? I just got a bunch of ArmyCast D conversion kits. Don't I feel like a chump!

I found Hannants in the UK listing a future release, Academy Kit # AC12514, 1/72 scale AH-64D Block II. No ETA yet.
