Andrea Bolla
Yesterday I received my first Su33 from Lucky Model and this is just peek in the box (sorry for the noisy photo) The box is quite big and is really full: All the sprues are already documented so I will focus on some details... The panel lines are quite thin and well defined even on curved surfaces: Rivet detail is well defined and really subtle:

Andrea Bolla
The front gear door is slighty bent, but nothing too serious: The wing joint detail is crisp, even with a little flesh: Some flesh is present also on the intakes, but easy to clean: Details are very high everywhere: The bang seat is a model in a model:
Andrea Bolla
Surface detail is amazing: No ejector mark is visible: Joints are well engineered to minimize cleaning like on the ECM pods:
Andrea Bolla
Lot of pieces for flap and slats: Wing fold detail: Wing joint seems strong too:
Andrea Bolla
Gear legs: Main wheels:
Andrea Bolla
Canopy has the correct Omega section: PE fret is REALLY thin: The only mistake... counter-rotating turbine blades:
Andrea Bolla
Engine nozzle comes in a box: and are molded in one piece:

ya-gabor
WOW very nice kit! Thanks for doing the quick review! Sad that the original company who made this possible are no longer, just imagine what else . . . But lets be happy that the Su-33 was saved and it is here now! flybywire
Is the manufacturer willing to remake and replace the "counter-rotating turbine blades?" if the manufacturer is reading and hearing this...
tarlucan
You don't need to, the front face of the turbine blades is provided on the photoetch sheet and portrays the correct geometry! The kit is truly exceptional although the use of CAD diagrams on the instruction sheet makes the positioning of some smaller parts a little vague but I'm really nitpicking! Eric1968
Hello, I received mine yesterday. The model is very very nice. But I was very disapointed by the assembly notice. The 3D CAD drawing isn't very usefull and isn't very precise for showing each pieces place. Another point is the painting instructions which are very poor. I think that the notice is the main thing to improve.
