Gary.Wickham
Greetings all Recently completed my latest effort (with two days to spare for our local IPMS End of Year event). A detailed photo diary of the build for this model (warning 106 photos), can be found at http://scalespot.com (look under 'On The Bench') Built mostly from the box with the following exceptions: - Flap interiors are scratchbuilt, flaps themselves are Eduard PE. - Markings and paint scheme from Eduard Profipack P-39 kit. - Ultracast seat cheers Gary

Andy Mullen
Marvellous work as usual Gary :( One question - what paint/technique do you use to get your tyres to look like that?

Gary.Wickham
One question - what paint/technique do you use to get your tyres to look like that? Hi Andy If you mean the dirty look, then its just a light spray of thinned Dark Earth (in my case Humbrol 29). This was applied as the very last thing, so a light touch is necessary  cheers Gary

benediktv
One of the best weathering jobs I have recently seen!!! Great, great, great!!!! BTW: is the Hw kit better than Eduard? Is it worth the extra money? Thanks
dragonfly
I agree...superb weathering Great work! Jerry
Gary.Wickham
BTW: is the Hw kit better than Eduard? Is it worth the extra money? Thanks I have not built the Eduard kit so cannot comment on the fit etc, but looking at the detail of the moldings, and what you get oin the box, I'd say they are pretty close. Lets put it this way, I'm not going to replace my unbuilt Eduard kits with Hasegawa ones. cheers Gary
Cristiane
Fantastic job. Congratulations.
David Walker
The paint fading and weathering is top notch. Very nice work.
benediktv
I have not built the Eduard kit so cannot comment on the fit etc, but looking at the detail of the moldings, and what you get oin the box, I'd say they are pretty close.Lets put it this way, I'm not going to replace my unbuilt Eduard kits with Hasegawa ones. cheers Gary Thanks. Although I pressume that for you there is no difference between those kits, the result would be excellent in both cases.
