Medevac71
ZSH Zivilschutzhubschrauber on 40*30 cm... by me The German Federal Bureau of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance has started a new era in its helicopter operations. The first two orange colored EC-135 were handed over to the Bureau. The new helicopter will replace all BO-105 (still in use at ten bases) and Bell 212 (two bases). The new helicopters are equipped for HEMS, utilizing the quick change AAT Air Ambulance Technology, the navigation system EuroNav IV, SatCom, and the HELLAS obstacle warning system. They will be flown by pilots of the Federal Police, the medical crea will come from the local station operator. Besides HEMS they will perform observation, emission control and transportation duties..... Pictures : http://www.helionline.net/photogallery//////D-HZSC.html The 2 helicopters are based in Kempten and Traunstein, those cities are located in the south of Germany... in *hawk* Bavaria.... The helicopter that will protect ME, will be the D-HZSC, which will be based in Cologne / Mehrheim. There's still flying a BO-105 CBS-5..... beautiful.... The EC-135 will come to Cologne in May or June. Well, I've to say that I've no pictures right now..... so you get another eye-candy. click me click me nice eh ? I took it. Ah, I forgot something, for the build I've those kits, all from Revell : EC-135 Air Zermatt 1/32 EC-145 REGA and maybe an EC-135 of the ADAC, but I don't know yet whether I'll use it or not... Greetings Edited March 23, 2008 by Medevac71
Medevac71
the kits from left to right : EC-135 Air Zermatt, EC-145 REGA, EC-135 ADAC The interieur.... the bottom plate is from the EC-145... the EC-135 is all in all smaller. I use the EC-145 because it's just the better kit. pitchs and sticks are fabulous, seats are modified The panel... I added 4 switchers (fire off and FADEC) The middle console The problem that gap is evil bye Edited April 5, 2007 by Medevac71
PapaSmurf630
Bit of plasticard should do the trick. Good work so far.
Medevac71
Hey thank you, I think I'll use a part of the EC-135 nose, that will fit.. I know it doesn't look that nice now... but that's what I made today. Those edges are wires Without any color it looks really dumb... but those are the first steps... Ps: Oka, >someone< told me, that this dark grey box behind the middle console belongs to the Federal Police and not to the new heli.... x_x okay, it was crooked anyway Edited April 5, 2007 by Medevac71
TheFlyingDutchman
Nice work! And nice drawing too. The EC-135 is my favourite helicopter so I will follow this one. A few months ago I also painted a EC-135. Not a very good drawing but good enough for me:
Andre
Nice work. So, the interior pieces come from the EC145 kit? The instrument panels of that kit do have detailing, unlike the 'decal only' EC135..? Cheers, Andre
Medevac71
yes, it's really well detailled.... I just had to join to displays to one. The displays get black again, after dry washing this morning, well or "in flight" (means electric and board computer on, etc.), but that's all so small and I don't know how to make it.... ps: The book is "Irrungen, Wirrungen" by Theodor Fontane for school X_X Edited April 6, 2007 by Medevac71
Medevac71
A part of the skids... mainly for the use of a winch, but it won't get one We called it the "Uli-Strebe", the upper drawing is the normal kit piece. Sticks and pitchs. and I added every single switch.... terrible work. Edited April 6, 2007 by Medevac71
McGarry
"schröer-step" ..... not uli-strebe
Medevac71
Not much progress, but some: Nothing glued, just to see how it'll look like. Has anyone an idea to make those nice rescue bags ?.... cos finding a good material for that is difficult :) The seats will be modified further on. Ps: The HEMS (left seat) will get no controls. Su-34
Awesome work so far! :)
Medevac71
thank you Well I decided to make it with the left door open. There are several reasons, one is that there'll be a gab when you put the two halves together and there's no way to get there - just thru this door. So I use the door of the EC-145 kit. This door is longer, so I gotta shorten it. And it fits :) the window is just one'a'half mm to short (height), that will be no problem. At the rear you can see holes for the rear window, which is not part of that kit. Edited April 12, 2007 by Medevac71

Medevac71
Thank you all :) To see so many comments is very motivating. Well...no... you'll see The doc's seat, the overhead panel and the small cabinet. The pilot's and medic's seat. pimped with left over parts from an Eduardo photo-etched parts kit for an 1/48 Huey. Sad that you won't see so much, when the modell is finished. And just to see how it'll look like: The plate is slack^^ Edited April 14, 2007 by Medevac71
norbert
Sad that you won't see so much, when the modell is finished. That mean Julian, that we will see one day an all open helicopter from you :) Norbert
Medevac71
Some small progress : I bought some very good plastic sheet and so I'm building the rear cabin, the left side fitted right away, but the right side didn't. Solution : The hole for the rear window The cabin itself The doc's seat.
