Cobrahistorian
Rich, you rock! Been trying to get pics of that bird for 2 years now! Every time it showed up, I conveniently didn't have my camera. Whenever I knew I was gonna be near it, unfortunately, I was at Cairns... Jon
chopperpilot71
Nice to se those photo's, noticed the bird is 38 years old and still "Soldiering On" I know, in Ozark Alabama just a few miles from here is a Bell Helicopter company called U.S. Helicopter that are refiurbishing an entire fleet of Hueys to more modern specs......this thing is gonna live forever! There are faster, bigger, lighter more maneuverable helicopters out there, but there aint nuttin like a Huey!

Sabre
Hey Rich, Thanks for checking into this for me...most curious indeed. The medivac units in 'Nam were all "Dust Off".....I tell ya, they were the real angels when they came to get our guys out, regardless of the situation.
