foxtwo
ok here is my actual subject, bothinh unknown when talking about the F18 Hasegawa model, i would add it all i have in the Aires resin range.....all known that the Aires set are really a nightmare to fit...here all is sanded the most i can.....you can see through the resin..... <_< , fit between the front gear bay and electonics bays is....difficult, but with time.... the nose should be opened showing the radar, canon/radar bay should be detailed too...and maybe one engine bay.... so here are the first pics...... tomcatter727
Id say your off to a nice start. How hard is it to fit the aires wheel bays? Im thinking of adding them in a future build, but if they are as hard as fitting the ones for the super hornet...maybe not. :D
Midnight Storm
Great start!
foxtwo
what can i say about the fit of those """" :) 3 resin pieces.....first i sand all the front wheel bay, you can see trough now...same thing with the electonics bay, finally i've to cut one portion of those bay so they can match the opening in the fuselageand be close of the wheel bay.....but i still don't try the cockpit ! hope to have more luck with the main gears wells.....! my problem comes also with the opnening of the front fuselage....but i'll found a solution ! foxtwo
ok, still cutting the plastic...main gear bays are in......looking good ! now the main problem would be to recreate the air intake canal..... Pat

foxtwo
ok, some more pics...i'm now working on the air intakes......ok don't smile...i hate sanding those air intakes when the kit supplies tem...and i build them when there's nothing in the kit...... so here i use plasticard to make it, still have the part up the wheel well to do, and lots of sanding work inside....... also add some details in the engine bay...working slowly....
