drhornii
A C-130A roman nose. Training aide at Sheppard AFB, Not use to seeing the side cargo door open on the Herk. That was welded shut early in it's career due to that door opening in flight.

jakal lm
I trained on that roman nose "A"model at basic loadmaster school in March 1975...and flew on that DC-130 at Little Rock years later going to C-130 school. The Herk is truely an amazing airplane and I'm glad to have flown it in my Air Force career. Ron...C-5A/B, C-130E, MC-130 loadmaster.

ikar
In the mid 70s we'd get a couple in at Littlerock every so often. By that time they were cammoflaged and were flown by the Guard and Reserves.
ARK HERKY LOAD
Ok here are some pics of the herks I fly on (ARK ANG). A couple of sunset and sunrise shots one from inside looking out the left troop door. And 63-7811 on a TDY trip to cold Minot N.D. and 64-0514 starting up to take her to the bone yard to her final resting place, she was a good plane. Hope you enjoy.
