More than four years after it began, my conversion of Esci's 1/48 MiG-23S into a two-seat MiG-23UB is finished.

A brief rundown of the project: cockpits were scratchbuilt, seats are Neomega, dorsal hump made from Magic Sculp (in June 2003), wings and tailpipe shortened, wheel wells, pylons, and cannon detailed, canopies vacuformed from clear acrylic, entire model rescribed. Finished with Tamiya acrylics (cockpit is Polly Scale's NYC Jade Green), decals are from Hi Decal's Su-27 sheet and the spares box.
