Bob Rock
It would be good if Isra released some decals for 1/48 Baraks.Conversion sets are no good without decals, previous releases are impossible to find and they're sized for Hasegawa kit anyway... Cheers,Miro.
Fuji
WOW - $110 in Kfir stuff .... Speechless

Drop a line to Isradecal/ Raanan Weiss. Maybe he has Barak decals in his private stock. Also tell him about making decals for the Tamiya kit. I think he would like the idea. rjwood_uk
I 2nd that. I would love to do a Barak some day...and a sufa lol but decal limitations are keeping my wallet in my pack pocket at the moment! Richard
thegoodsgt
How about a reprint of your "General Dynamics F-16 A/B Netz" book?
cr7driver
Can the F-21 conversion kit fit the Eduard mirage kit in 1/48??
Dave Williams
Can the F-21 conversion kit fit the Eduard mirage kit in 1/48?? Doubt it. The F-21/Kfirs are Mirage IIIE/5 based and given that the conversion is designed for the ESCI/Italeri IIIE/5 kit, I doubt it has any provision to convert Eduard's IIIC to a IIIE/5. jesTer
Can the F-21 conversion kit fit the Eduard mirage kit in 1/48?? I am also wondering about this and I hope Danny can shed some light on it There's also the Hobbyboss Mirage IIIs that I'm curious about whether the IsraCast set will fit... Edited May 16, 2008 by jesTer
toolo12
Hey jesTer, I think Dave is right about the Eduard's Mirage. About the Hobbyboss's kit - i would ask with Raanan about those issues and give you an answer. thegoodsgt, I doubt if the book will be re-print. Isradecal are now very busy with new stuff (books, decals, conversion and resin kits). I would ask Ra'anan if he has a private stock of the F-16 Netz book. If so, i'll let you know. Miro (postal), Good news. Isradecal will re-issue the 1/48 Barak decals and will try them also on the Tamiya's kit. But i think that the previuos set will fit also the Tamiya's kit. Maybe you will have a little difference in the "walkways" line decals but the others will fit well. HTH. Danny
Dave Williams
The Hobbyboss kit is the same as the Eduard kit, a IIIC, and will have the same issues.

The Hobbyboss kit is the same as the Eduard kit, a IIIC, and will have the same issues. This is starting to confuse me, but isn't the Kfir based on the IIIC and not the IIIE? Yet all the current conversions available are meant for the IIIE.
Fuji
This is starting to confuse me, but isn't the Kfir based on the IIIC and not the IIIE? Yet all the current conversions available are meant for the IIIE. The Kfir is actually based on the Mirage 5J / Nesher which in turn was an attack / day fighter version of the Mirage IIIE (no air to air radar). Dassault made some major modifications from the IIIC to the IIIE and the basic IIIE airframe was the central piece for all of the follow on V/5/50 versions out there. IAI then went about and modified the the basic Mirage 5J / Nesher airframe by installing the Phantom's J79 engine ( more powerful and readily available that the Atar engine) and several modifications to the nose (new ranging radar) and under fuselage (rear facing strike camera and new chaff & flare dispensers). The biggest changes were its trademark ventral intake as part of the V-stab and the later added canards, nose strakes and dog tooth on the wings leading edge. PS - You cannot use the Hobbyboss kit for the Kfir, if is a C its no go. Eagle Designs made a conversion for the Heller Mirage IIIC but the scale is a bit off so I don't think it can be used. I think your best bet is the Esci / Italeri Mirage IIIE kit and the Isracast sets - for now. I can't see someone ignoring the Mirage family much longer. Jim Barr
I can't see someone ignoring the Mirage family much longer. Ahh, ever the optimist. Except for the "C" they have been ignoring them for decades Regards Jim Barr
ReccePhreak
I would love to see IsraDecal do 1/48 Mirage/Kfir recce noses, like the ones in the AML 1/72 kit. Of course, we would also need appropriate decals, as well. Larry

Marlin
Yeah, Thank you Ra'anan. I ordered the new Sufa and Barak sheets and Spice and Tadmit bombs today from Great Models. Hopefully they will deliver my new goodies to Sweden within 10 days. I'll tell you what I think of the stuff when I get them, but if its anything near like previous stuff from Isra I'm sure I not going to be disapointed. But I still looking forward for the recce nose for the Shahaks, Nesher, Kfir et al. One can hope, can´t one? Best Regards Bosse Persson (IAF-builder) from Sweden
