hello there!!

after my tomcats, i started this one....

The kit is from czech firm Kopro (KP) and it's the only one at this scale...

The level of detail is not high, especially in the cockpit...but the shapes look right, as the different panel lines...

I started with the cockpit :

the seat is from verlinden

the front and side panels come from an eduard photoetched set wich i casted with "liquid plastic"

the wall behind the seat receive scratched details...

Radome :

Exhaust :

i added a resin leftover part :

front wheel bay :

i added some wiring and details...

The two fuselages halves went together without problem

But some panel lines didn't come in front each other.... i had to fill with CA glue, sand and rescribe....

The texture was a bit rough , like that :

So i sanded the whole plane with grade600 paper with water, then i polished it with a Copper&brass shining paste...

The wings are a bit thick, and need the centring part to be removed fot a better fit

the vents are drilled

the vertical tail need just some filler....

Next steps will be detailling legs and bays, airbrakes and weapons....

I plan to paint her with a russian camo...(love the star!! :) )

So, what loading configuration can i choose??

I have AS-11 kilters, rocket pods, R60....

bye!

Fantastic start! I watch with antisipation  as I have a couple of these to build, just trying to source more detail parts for them then I will begin. I will let you know from my books I have on the loadout options unless someone beats me to it. :)

Looking very good! You've added some nice extra details.

Su-17M4 got to be one of the meanest looking combat aircraft ever so you can be sure I will follow this thread closely.

Yes indeed! It is huge!!!! here is me with HAF M3 ( i am 1,75 m tall, not so tll but Fitter is beast!!)

nice pics!!

hey berkut! seems you've been scaled down!!!

Anton (my name) felt like plankton at those amaizing beasts. I can still not come over how big the engine rings on MiG-31 was, and how great the Tu-160 wingspan is... :wierdo:

I noticed now i have the same body position on every photo. :nanner:

Man, that's scary! From this view, it reminds me of something from a futuristic Japanese anime (like Gundam) or that thing from Robocop:

Maybe I've just had too much coffee.

I've got an M3 kit I've been working on off and on for many months now... that wing join is a real pain! Just removing the locator strips made the fit easier?

Looks like you used the quickboost inlet scoops too, those were the first thing I bought for my M3 when I started working on it

hello!

removing the locator strips make the fit easier, but there is still a step on the underside.

these are not quickboost inlets, but the kit ones i drilled with a blade...

bye!
