rom
hello there!! after my tomcats, i started this one.... The kit is from czech firm Kopro (KP) and it's the only one at this scale... The level of detail is not high, especially in the cockpit...but the shapes look right, as the different panel lines... I started with the cockpit : the seat is from verlinden the front and side panels come from an eduard photoetched set wich i casted with "liquid plastic" the wall behind the seat receive scratched details... Radome : Exhaust : i added a resin leftover part : front wheel bay : i added some wiring and details... Edited October 20, 2008 by rom
rom
The two fuselages halves went together without problem But some panel lines didn't come in front each other.... i had to fill with CA glue, sand and rescribe.... The texture was a bit rough , like that : So i sanded the whole plane with grade600 paper with water, then i polished it with a Copper&brass shining paste...
rom
The wings are a bit thick, and need the centring part to be removed fot a better fit the vents are drilled the vertical tail need just some filler.... Next steps will be detailling legs and bays, airbrakes and weapons.... I plan to paint her with a russian camo...(love the star!! :) ) So, what loading configuration can i choose?? I have AS-11 kilters, rocket pods, R60.... bye! Edited October 20, 2008 by rom

From this view, it reminds me of something from a futuristic Japanese anime (like Gundam) or that thing from Robocop: http://bp0.blogger.com/_gKiQxotBrfY/RzL0wk...toy-robocop.jpg http://lh3.ggpht.com/choengweng/SLPShVyyBE...20-%20ED209.jpg http://www.3dblasphemy.com/personal/ED209.jpg Maybe I've just had too much coffee. Edited October 22, 2008 by JackMan

Skull Leader
I've got an M3 kit I've been working on off and on for many months now... that wing join is a real pain! Just removing the locator strips made the fit easier? Looks like you used the quickboost inlet scoops too, those were the first thing I bought for my M3 when I started working on it
rom
hello! removing the locator strips make the fit easier, but there is still a step on the underside. these are not quickboost inlets, but the kit ones i drilled with a blade... bye!

Skull Leader
have fun when you go to mount the outer pylons on the wings... they only remotely fit without a LOT of work...
