AcesHigh
Hello here is the link to some pics of the new Cat from Trumpeter pics of sprues included but not good quality http://oaxserver.com/ipms_temp/testshots3.php cheers Kostas
Jozef
Thanks Kostas It is never enough of such pictures. It is even good that the pictures are not clear, let the halo of secrecy hang over it a bit. Waiting makes the pleasure grow Jozef
AcesHigh
yes i agree with you but even from those pictures with this quality someone should come to the rescue i have already seen a lot of mistakes just from a first look the flaps for example Kostas
janman
Hey, the last two sprues are something totally different! Reminds me of a Tu-22M Backfire! The vertical stabs, cockpit hatches and a rotary launcher with perhaps Kh-15 "Kickback" missiles? Or am I just dreaming..?

The vertical stabs, cockpit hatches and a rotary launcher with perhaps Kh-15 "Kickback" missiles? Or am I just dreaming..? Agreed, the last sprue is almost certainly from a Tu-22M kit. The shape of the cockpit hatches in the middle of the frame are unmistakable in my opinion.

Skull Leader
That nose! Oh man. That nose almost looks like the lifted the shape from an Academy 48th Tomcat. I don't see how you can deduce that from the angle they've given. :(

Brian P: Fightertown Decals
No, that would be their F-4 Phantom. Proof that even a brick can fly if it has a big enough engine :) -brian

Alpagueur
That nose! Oh man. That nose almost looks like the lifted the shape from an Academy 48th Tomcat. I don't know for the nose (we do not have enough pics) but I was just taking a look at the Hase 1/48 compared to the Trumpeter 1/32 (same perspective, same dimensions, opposite sides) and it seems the Hase Cat does have a greater "convexity" concerning the area around the red borders, so maybe the whole area behind the canopy is different. I'm not sure for this, as we have only few pics. I've found the above pic on the web searching "F-14 Hasegawa 1/48" with Google. regards, Luca

Skull Leader
That Trumpeter canopy looks REALLY frosted. I'll take a stab at that one.. obviously the model has been primed... I'm guessing they put a flat coat on it to take the shine off during photography... I'll wager they left the canopy exposed while they sprayed the flat coat.
Dave Williams
It has been stated that it's an early test shot and that it's not unusual for the clear parts to come out frosted because the mold isn't the final polished mold. I wouldn't worry about the canopy clarity. Trumpeter has proven that they know how to make clear parts.
Berkut
Trumpeter has proven that they know how to make clear parts. *starts thinking about Su-27 and Su-27UB canopyes...* Nah, just kidding, i know what you mean, the clear part on MiG-3 kit (1/48 scale) look great.
