ScottR
How's this? http://www.amazon.co.uk/SprayMaster-Comple.../ref=pd_sim_b_6 Looks to be a nice price with some good reviews.. I've never used an air brush. Although I have used a few spray can in my time. I'm just getting back into some modeling and looking at improving by skill and tools.. CF104
How's this?http://www.amazon.co.uk/SprayMaster-Comple.../ref=pd_sim_b_6 Looks to be a nice price with some good reviews.. I've never used an air brush. Although I have used a few spray can in my time. I'm just getting back into some modeling and looking at improving by skill and tools.. To avoid disappointment you may want to go with a simpler, higher quality airbrush system to start with. I would recommend the Paasche H airbrush with a piston type compressor. OTOH, you could go with the set you've listed but in my personal experience you would be better off to pay slightly more for a known good product. You won't get as much 'stuff' but what you do get is less problems. Cheers, John
ScottR
Cheers.. That was kind of the answer I was looking for I would rather spend money on quality that I can continue to use the waste cash on cheap and cheerful. I'm off shopping.. Question then.... Do I need/want a £100 compressor? https://airbrushes.com/product_info.php?pro...9ca7b1acd4454d7 I have some Christmas cash so I'm not arguing about the cost.. But should I spend more? or less? silver1
I started out with a Paasche "H". Good airbrush but I moved up to one with gravity feed and dual action. The badger 100LG. Nice but I think I want to move up again. I got my compressor at a hardware store for about $75USD. Noisy but rugged. It can also inflate car/bicycle tires. Ed

Chuck1945
For the OP, based on the pictures in the link, one of the included brushes looks like a clone of the Badger 350 and would work for larger models with a single color acheme and also for small craft projects. The second one looks like an Iwata clone. A Paasche 'H' is a good starter brush with a gentle learning curve, but in all likelihood, you will want something better after using it for a couple of years. Not because it is a poor choice, but because we tend to think a 'better' (more expensive) brush will give better results. I currently use the H&S Evolution and Infinity brushes. These are the nicest brushes I have used, both for smoothness and ease of cleaning, but I don't think they really spray much, if any, better then the Iwata I was using before them. PS. I started on a Paasche 'H', used it for almost 20 years before getting a Badger 150, used it for 10-12 years, then got a ...
mightymax
I wholeheartedly say Paasche. You say you want a quality brush that will last a while. Then the H is gonna do the job. Also it has been pointed out that you may want to upgrade at some time to a double action higher end brush. Well I did, and here is what I find. I learned on an H back in high school in the late 70's. The H is simple to use, simple to clean and parts are easily replaced if neccessary. My dad bought me one in 1978 and I still use it (same one!) 95% of the time. I have replaced an aircap tip and needle once in its lifetime and that is only because I dropped it on the basement floor, once! If you get an H and take care of it it may 'outlast' you! Smart
Hey there! I began airbrushing not too long ago... I have bought this nice "starter kit": http://shop.mcronse.be/product_info.php/ma...roducts_id/3420 It's a Badger 150 with a Sparmax compressor. I'm very happy with it. I have 2 left hands (I'm very clumsy) but so far, it has not let me down. Simple to use, reliable and you can find easily spare parts... Good luck!
Skull Leader
I use a Paasche H model (have been since 2004) and I love it. Easy to use, easy to clean, excellent and consistent results... you'll love it!
