otis252
Guess I'll be the first to ask on this thread. Does this kit have the new reworked nose? Chuck

muswp1
From what I heard in a different thread, yes it does. It should be the first kit with the new nose.
Viper Ace
Chrisk, can you confirm this kit has the reworked nose and other parts that have been talked about? Edited March 18, 2009 by Viper Ace
Bonehammer73
The Negev squadron decals did it for me. I teetered between Kinetic and Hasegawa, but I'm picking this one even though the Hase is probably better. I don't know how to say this, but the purchase is partly just that, a purchase, and partly an investment in future releases from Kinetic.
David Walker
....can you confirm this kit has the reworked nose and other parts that have been talked about? From Raymond Chung, owner of Lucky Model, yes it does.
Darth2307
I can second what Mr. Walker says from Raymond. I emailed him and asked. The in stock Sufa at Lucky Model does have the fixed nose.
chrisk
Chrisk, can you confirm this kit has the reworked nose and other parts that have been talked about? This is my first experience with a Kinetic kit. From what i have read on the forum is that there is an issue with the nose. since i have not seen it first hand, can someone explain to me what the issue is with the nose. I am happy to finally see a cheaper F-16I kit that actually comes with a good set of weapons. why hase does not provide weapons, i do not know.
David Walker
The first issue Kinetic kits have a nose that droops quite a bit, much like the Japanese F-2. There are are couple new photos in the Kinetic F-16 Block 52+ thread that seem to show that this problem has now been fixed.
MoFo
This is my first experience with a Kinetic kit. I am happy to finally see a cheaper F-16I kit that actually comes with a good set of weapons. why hase does not provide weapons, i do not know. The nose (and other issues) are laid out here: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....=170347&hl= (note, this is the initial release, and subject to change with the recent batch and/or future versions... but this is what people mean when they're talking about the nose issue) The F-16I kit only comes with whatever ordnance the previous releases had (at least, I'm assuming it still has those parts). No Israeli weapons.
otis252
I'm really looking forward to the sprue shots on this one. If it's got the "corrected " nose and a resonable well done "backbone and lumps and bumps", I'm in. Chuck

RedFlag
Hi, just got mine and thot i do a quick mockup to see for myself if everything fits. From what i can see, it is a very promising build right out of the box. Kinetic has indeed made several fixes to address the earlier issues. Finally, a full plastic SUFA :) Cheers! Hoops
The nose looks to be significantly improved to me, doesn't seem to have that drooping bulge any more. I'm no expert on the F-16, but it looks much better. I feel sorry for the folks that bought the first releases, though. -Hoops
Netz
For the guys that have posted the pictures, how about a few with the electronics bay doors and upper panels installed. And how about some clear tape or white glue so we can see an unobstructed view. Also did you see and improvement in the punch pin locations and pour stubs?
