Hobby Boss 1/72 Sikorsky HH-60H Rescue Hawk (late) in-box

Recommended Posts

Hey Robertas,

Thanks a bunch for the review. I have been waiting for this kit ever since they announced it back several months ago. Now that I am able to see what is in the box I will defiantly be picking one up.

Thanks again,

Dave Fassett

Hey-

I think no on the Penguin is correct. Yes for Hellfire. Miniguns can be mounted both in the door on the right side or in the fwd window on the left side. Note that you can't mount the minigun (on the left side) together with the Left Hand Extended Pylon (the left outboard pylon). So you can't mount left side minigun and Hellfire at the same time.

The kit came in the mail yesterday! It actually looks much much better than their original UH-60 release (The nose shape looks better, the windshield doesn't look stretched)

Despite a few inaccuracies, I think this is leaps and bounds better than their original blackhawk release. Plus the rivets don't even look as bad as they do on the UH-1's.

And did anybody study how is accuracy in comparison with old Hasegawa or Italeri versions of SH-60?

I did a quick comparison with this kit and the Italeri HH-60; they are very similar, but HB has improved the surface detailing nicely. I prefer the sharpness of the Italeri rotors, as HB's seem to be a little soft and rounded at the tips. I will swap some parts over from the Italeri kit, but the HB is the one to build.

I did notice in my kit that I have an you can see with the shots of sprues shots on here, is that it gives you the "H", the "B", and the "F", also has the different exhaust nozzles for the different variants that is being produced. But only if they would of added the Soney Bouy's dispenser and the Dipper for the "B", and "F".

Maybe we might see a MH-60S out of Hobbyboss soon too.

Just my two cents.

Too bad that they only give one minigun :yahoo: ......anyway, can they carried rocket tube on the left outboard pylon?

I just got mine yesterday...they do really look great...

I'm planning to build one of the bird that flew during Tsunami Relief Operation in Indonesia... really love seeing those bird flew in and out, saving countless life those days...

But, I don't think the decal available in the market today.... :worship:

Hey-

No, rockets are not currently used on any version of the Seahawk. Maybe the MH-60S at some point, but not currently.
