Flankerman
Here is my big Zveno.A real bear of a build! philo426...... Where are the parasite fighters ??? It's just a TB-3 - excellent build and finish - but just a TB-3 on its own. 'Zveno' (meaning 'flight') is a TB-1 or TB-3 with fighters attached - in various forms with two, four - or even FIVE.... Here's my 'Zveno-1' - a TB-3 with two I-5's attached... ...and my 'Zveno-6 Aviamatka' - TB-3 with FIVE fighters attached..... Lucien Harpress is doing a 'Zveno-7' here. You've made a great TB-3 from the ICM kit - but it isn't a Zveno. Cheers Ken Edited April 27, 2009 by Flankerman
philo426
Wow!I think they went a little overboard on the parasite fighter thing!
Lucien Harpress
Beee-utiful! The ICM TB-3 can be a bit of a pain in the keister to build, but the result are definitely worth it. Nice job!
philo426
Thanks Lucien! How is that counter-rotating prop thing for the Bear comming?
Lucien Harpress
It's coming along. It's sort of on the back burner right now, as I have a bit of an obligation over at another site to finish up my Zveno 7. After that- we'll see. I still need to get back to work on my SSW R.VIII and put a few finishing touches on a multi-year Short Stirling build (not to mention that Goose that's been mocking me in the corner for the past year and a half), but I'm getting out of school so I'll have more time to build- hopefully. I'm looking at possibly motorizing a Unicraft Bolkhovitinov "S" I have in the stash- the nose might be just big enough to fit a gearbox and a motor in it, and I wouldn't need to buy a new kit to do so. We'll see, I guess. I'm always big on plans, not so much on action. (Would this be a bad time to mention I just printed off 1/72 plans for the ANT-20 Maxim Gorky? )
philo426
and don't forget the Hughes Hercules!
