cvrle
After a notification on scale-rotors.com, i went to Zvezda's website, and lo-and-behold - they've announced the Mi-35: Zvezda's Mi-35 I'm looking foward to this one!
ChernayaAkula
And a Mi-35M, no less! I think Mi-35 was/is the name for export Hinds, while the Mi-35M is the new version with fixed landing gear, short stub wings, Mi-28 tail rotor, twin 20mm cannon in chin turret and updated avionics. I think only Venezuela flies them so far, under the local name "Caribe". Would never have thought someone did an injected kit of this. Resin, sure, but injected plastic? Thank you so much, Zvezda! Jennings
Sigh... I thought you were going to say they were doing a 1/48 Mi-8.... J
Azor
But Jennings....the 1/35 Mi-17 Trumpie is not "that" big... You should get one instead. Believe me. I still remember circa 2002 and the CE announcement on HS about the release of the Mi-8/17 in quarter scale, but like many other projects...it was lost at sea. PS: You don't remember me, don't you? I'm still saying thanks for that marvelous VM sheet on the German Starfighters. Warmest regards from Chile Azor

More like 1994. I did a huge decal sheet for the Cutting Edge Mi-8 kit waaaaaay back when. The decals were printed, but the kit never materialized, like many CE projects. J PS: Glad you could use the F-104 decals
tiger331
Hi, anybody knows how it looks like with this kit?
konbini
I'm newish to helis (though I've had limited experience when I was little... didnt have a successful one built to date)... and will definitely be watching this thread. How are Zvezda heli quality... I'm assuming this one's probably going to be on the better side because of new tooling (???) tiger331
I am looking forwadr it too. So far the Hobby Boss is the Best Mi-24 around, so I am eager to know how Zvezda will do it. If like Mi-26, then it will be great
kotey
This Mi-35M (it will be only first model from big Mi-24 model series) will be much better, than Hobby Boss model - Zvezda model will have even unsimmetrical fuselage in front view.

The whole family? That's excellent news! :) I love how Zvezda's Mi-26 turned out, and I'm confident they can keep the Hind family on the same level, even better it. Hobbyboss just lost some business... :) Kotey, we would be grateful for an occasional update here and now!
ChernayaAkula
This Mi-35M (it will be only first model from big Mi-24 model series) <...> Woohoo! When? WHEN?
Sauragnmon
I dunno entirely if I would be so quick to abandon the HB Hind - it IS convenient as a Russian Helicopter Weapons Set. Though it is nice to see that they'll be doing the 24VM/35M with the 23mm twin gun in the chin.
kotey
Woohoo! When? WHEN? :D I don't know when (i'm only know that design of model is on the work), about when - ask Zvezda. What about me - i'm have dozen model for modelling now, i'l wait.
mario krijan
I cant wait to see it! if it would be like Mi-26, it would be excellent!
pollie
A big hobbyshop in the Netherlands lists a Zvezda Mi-24V (box 7293) and Mi-35 (box 7276) for less than 15 euro each. Does that mean it is out in Russia already? Keeping my fingers crossed!!
