ALPH
Hi, I'm building the JF-17 from Bronco Model, and I have some pics of the cockpit, but nothing behind the ejection seat. Does anyone have photos of this part? thanks Regards ALPH

JackMan
Thanks for the pics of the kit. It looks awesome. May I know where you got it from & what the price was? Thanks in advance
ALPH
In France it costs 35€ (50$). The kit looks like Trumpeters products. There are 2 noses in the box. Maybe Trumpeter will release a chinese version. Edited June 29, 2009 by ALPH
jwest21
OK, I want one! Anyone know where to order one?
Matt Roberts
Do the sprues say Trumpeter up in thier corners? Or is there a Bronco logo somewhere on them? That'd probably clear up if we are getting one or two JF-17 kits this year Matt
ALPH
No, there is no logo on the sprue. but the parts of the Bronco's kit match perfetcly with the Trumpeter's 3D view on Aeroscale ALPH

Hi,ALPH The Bronco mold is absolutely originally made by their own,as you can see the crisp details and panel lines/rivets,which is quite different from Trumpeter style. But just get the kits while you can! The Bronco JF-17 kits have all been CALLED BACK including the storage sent to Hongkong! Don't ask the reason, just think about the 3D data pictures from Tr*mpet*r and the resulted kit from Bronco. Some intellectual property rights conflict......quite SERIOUSLY this time. Matt Roberts
I guess it did seem that the Bronco one did not have as many parts as the Trumpy one did. I think I recall the Bronco as having 160+ parts and the Trumpeter one as 200+. Wierd that they get upset when another mainland company has a similar product, when there are plenty around that accuse Trumpeter and Hobbyboss as copying others kits if they are Japanese or European originals. I guess this may go back to the armor side of things when dueling French armor was released almost simultaniously between Trumpy and Bronco. Or better yet Dragon and Trumpeter are seeming to be at each others throats with German armor right now (look at all of the SKFZ-7s that both are churning out) Well lets hope a few sneak over to the US Nats next month. Any word on when Trumpeter is releasing thiers (or the J-10 for that matter) Matt Edited July 1, 2009 by Matt Roberts
haneto
No,it's not that simple,Matt. Not kit copying, but 3D data which used for mold using. In other words, you can call it "ste*ling" than "copying". All in all,Trumpy's OK while Bronce......hard to say this time. I do not care whose data it is. The only thing I care is the final quality of the kit. Judge it by yourself. musangpulut
Haneto! Is there any hobby shop in Asia still selling it? I think I really need this kit! Look at the decal sheet. It's superbly done complete with stencils!
ALPH
Hi, "Thunder" fans. There is tweested sprue on mine. It result some fitting problems. Watch this I think i'll buy a trumpeter's kit to when it will be avalaible. Edited July 2, 2009 by ALPH
Matt Roberts
That is funny that Bronco is the one that is being accused it sounds like. Strange that this seems to be the first time I have seen a hint of industrial espionage in the model world, rather than a simple copying. When the armor came out the Renault 35s it was said that Trumpy copied the Bronco molds. Could be just the typical anti-Trumpy bias around the boards showing thru. Though if the wing is as warped as that I think I will wait for Trumpy. Say what you will about accuracy but as kits the Trumpy's I have done are first class. The only thing I care is the final quality of the kit. Judge it by yourself. I'm curious how they could copy a kit since Trumpeter's isn't even out. Now, if they got a hold of the actual CAD files Trumpeter made and Bronco loaded them into their CNC mold making machine, that's one thing. If they can copy a kit from just some small pictures of CAD drawings, that's pretty impressive.

I think i'll buy a trumpeter's kit to when it will be avalaible. I got mine today from Spruebrothers and there are none of the warping problems pictured above. The only complaint I have is the pebbly surface texture instead of being completely smooth. Otherwise it's a pretty sweet looking kit.
