black jasper
hi, Just started modelling again after a thirty year break just for a little nostalgia trip and found i'm really enjoying it. I've been getting pretty good results with a real cheap airgun alclad and tamiya weather master, now i want to move up a gear and have a better airbrush. I have my eye on an iwata revolution which sprays down to 0.5mm, will this give me the sort of precision for pre and post shading panels lines? Thanks
terryt
I just bought a new Paasche Talon with three heads and a fan cap. I haven't used it much yet but from I tested all four head configurations and am impressed with its ability to spray. It's a departure from the former Paasche airbrushes. New head system and more substantial heft. It's larger than their VL airbrush and is gravity fed. Here is a link to the set I got. http://www.chicagoairbrushsupply.com/patatgsetwia.html Here are different configurations you can get. http://www.chicagoairbrushsupply.com/newpatagrai.html If you want a Iwata here is a link. http://www.chicagoairbrushsupply.com/iwreai.html Edited August 21, 2009 by terryt

Huey Gunner
Cannot go wrong with the Iwata. Take the plunge, You won't regret it.
jester292
I agree on the Iwata. Used to run an Aztek, upgraded to Iwata HP-CS and haven't looked back. My productivity has increased, and results are better too. Aaron
cheese
I found that "what airbrush" didnt matter really. Got me an Iwata HP-revolution and completed 3 models (without paint) before trying to use the airbrush. I got pretty nervous since i had never used one and didnt know what to expect. But I must say, the results are hard to replicate with a brush. Im sure that either one of the mentioned would work out just fine. Also, if you want to spray really fine lines check out this other thread discussing this matter: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....howtopic=191351
RedHeadKevin
I recently got a Badger 155, and I love it. Check out badgerairbrush.com's garage sale. You can get some good deals there.
Tgoetz
I was thinking about checking into one with the trigger style activation. If I recall correctly, Floyd Werner posted that he tried one and liked it.

If I recall correctly, Floyd Werner posted that he tried one and liked it. Most of the airbrushes with a trigger are expensive. Here is a link to a Grex that has a trigger: http://www.chicagoairbrushsupply.com/grexairbrushes.html Other manufactures have pistol grip trigger activated airbrushes, you could look on other pages of the link I provided. black jasper
thanks to everyone who took the time to reply. I have an excellent iwata, so easy to use that even my ten year old daughter uses it! Many thanks
