Flankerman
I still have a few PP Aeroparts Su-27 ladders to use up - but yours look great. They will be OK for 1:72 - and possibly 1:48 scale - but I think that etched brass is too 'flat' to be realistic in 1:32 scale. The vertical rails on the real thing are made from circular tubing - you can get away with etched brass in the smaller scales, but for 1:32 you really need brass rod. I scratch-built one for my 1:32 scale Trumpeter Su-27 - out of brass rod........ Just my opinion...... don't want to put you off. Cheers  Ken Edited May 31, 2010 by Flankerman

flanker
I still have a few PP Aeroparts Su-27 ladders to use up - but yours look great. Not mine:) My friend want to produce this set.He is great flanker fan too, like you and me:)
mingwin
good to see someone working on new aftermarkets for 1/48 flankers! thanks and keep on going!
haneto
I'm agree with Ken. I also used PP Aeroparts PE Flanker ladders(now sold under Flightpath brand) on my built in 1/72 scale, but I'm afraid in 1/32 scale, brass rods and handwork craft should be the way. (I left myself several copies of that 1/32 PE ladder, and scaled them up tp 1/32 scale for my scratch-building use in the future.) But since the Flightpath ones is too simple in details,I'm looking forward to yours very much indeed! BTW,I think the ladders used on the left vertical fin should be the same as the borading ladders on single seat. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) As for twin seat, the ladder for the 2nd postion should be taller, which Flightpath also included in their set. Just FYI. Cheers! Yufei

Yufei You are correct Yufei - there are two types of ladder - one for front cockpit and a taller one for access to the rear. The hooks on the ladder that fit into the recesses in the fuselage (denoted by two small red squares) - also fit into similar recesses in the fin. So the single-seat (front) boarding ladder can also be used as a maintenance ladder as well - clever these Russkies..... Ken

Academy Su-27 after market: Cockpit: Aires, Wolfpack, Neomega, Eduard Seats: Aires, Wolfpack, Neomega, Quickboost, Verlinden Nose: Pisco, Miniarm, Quickboost Pitot tube: Quickboost, A Chinese firm that I cannot remember and Miniarm nose comes with one Exhaust: Aires R-27: Miniarm (very very hard to find and without pylons), Kazan Wheels: Wolfpack, Equipage Wheel wells: Wolfpack Antennas: Quickboost, Eduard I hope wolfpack stuff is good so many things will be covered. I would like to see updates for other missiles that Su-27 can carry because Miniarm is almost imposible to find and Kazan is not that great. In my opinion biggest missing piece for Su-27 aftermarket is pylons. Of course I am excluding conversions. Su-30 (Academy might come with one), Su-33, Su-35...
