shion
Following several mini-GB I saw here, I thought it's a good idea to make such a move. So, the rules: - just one (for the moment) the new kinetic 1/48 EA-6B Prowler must be the base of the build. No time limit, no OOB restriction. So far, participants are: - Gonzalo. - Twhite80, with a VAQ-132 Scorpions Prowler. - Liberator24. - Jamie Cheslo, - Helo_Dud, with a VAQ-130 Zappers Prowler. - Grobber. - Leverancier with a VAQ-141 shadowhawks prowler - Seiran 01 with a VAQ-142 Greywolves Prowler - Jacksdad, with a VAQ-142 Greywolves Prowler. - Pompeo with a VAQ-141 Black Ravens Prowler. - Myself, Shion, with a VAQ-139 Cougars Prowler. To be updated. Edited October 8, 2010 by shion
shion
So, my first project for this MGB will be the CAG Bird of the VAQ-149 COUGARS, the version with the blue tail. I will use the Fightertown decals sheet: Prowler Pootenavy.

LoganTLR
HI I'd like to join, however, my kit is enroute and I have yet to find any suitable markings. T
shion
Buid begins, I tried to glue some plastic, and didn't follow the intructions, so seats, jamming pods, and fuel tank are yet assembled. First thoughts: If you've ever tackle the F-5E by AFV club, it's ths same model kit class (very detailled, very thin parts and nice sub-assemblies), in particular the jamming pods. pics soon. Ro-Gar Hobbies
This is going to be interesting and fun to watch. I am still on the fence about buying one for myself, so can't wait to see how you guys end up judging at the end on the quality and accuracy of the kit. Robert

jacksdad
Hi Guys, This will be the first time I have done a build on ARC so I wouold like to chip in with my effort. I will be using Afterburners 'Jammin' Jihad' set and in particular the one here:- http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy325/s...sBagramAB-5.jpg I must admit I hummed and heyed about getting the kit ( only because my Tomcat shopping list was so big) but while I was on Sprue Bros I saw this set and thought YUP that's the one . Got the dec's and the kit within a week and I should be ready to start nailing it together very soon. Oh, and by the way. It looks like a Prowler to me!!! t.t.f.n. jacksdad
Anyone thought about using Tamiya Smoke with a drop of clear yellow for the canopies? Steve
Jamie Cheslo
Anyone know if anyone puts out a PE set for a 1/48 Prowler? Clearly there will not be one for made for the Kinetic Prowler because it is so new, but there must be something available for the old Revell/Monogram kit. Do you think there would be fit issues? Mostly I am looking for something to dress up the cockpit a bit. J.C.
