Hi

I've just received newest Kagero's book- Topcolors 'Messerschmitt Bf 109 F'. So it is a great time to start to built of famous and excellent Zvezda's kit.

My choose of painting scheme is Hans Phillip's II> with white temporary winter camouflage. Strongly weathered :>

I've started with engine (I'm going to expose it a little). It was necessary to add some details (but only visible one)

At first some painting schemes that have lost with winter one:

but let's back to the model. I've add some more details on the engine (it's still not finished) and mount all details of the cockpit. Originally i wanted to mount ethed seatbelts on the pilot's seat, but i really like pilot's figure from that kit..

I also started work on the wing

..and i have to say it: working on this kit is a really pleasure!

Some minor modifications of figure; as I've said I'm going to made winter painting. That is the reason I had to add some fur collar to the uniform. Second one upgrade is head. That from the kit is not best, so I replaced it with CMK's one

Please note that cockpit is basecoated with silver- for further paint chips

Thans a lot!

Because I have to paint immediately some russian tracked behemoth as a boxart for Tankmania's new release, I had to slow down with this project. But little update. I've finished cockpit and figure, and now fuselage is closed

Wow, i knew the kit was really good, but in build up version it looks even better. And great wiring, it adds an extra dimension to the engine. I also liked yours modification of the pilot, looks good with that cap.

So.. my computer is down, my internet connection is speedless.. but it is a time for some update.

First some decals. For balkenkreuzes I've used decals from the kit- it was a bad choice. It is recommended to replace them with some aftermarkets. Blurred print and definitely not user friendly with applying.

Fortunately decals from Kagero works well with Microscales decal fluids and work with them was really a pleasure

I've paint damaged white camouflage using hair-spray technique.

Next step was wash- I've used mix of van dyke brown oil paint thinned a little with white spirit.

After that I've made oily stains and patches, with MIG's dark wash and Oil from lifecolor's tensocrome. Final touch was some dirt on wheels, fuselage and wings made with tamiya's weathering sticks and exhaust smoke made with pigments.

Base is made with piece of 3mm styrene. At first I covered it with acrylic putty and molded with it 'concrete' base. I put on it some resin accessories and paint with different tones of gray. snow is made with mix of acrylic resin and baking soda
