johnsjunk
I think the Unlimited P-51 "Precious Metal" is the most awesome looking Mustang around! But something was missing like a pair of cannons and markings. Had the Germans built the "Amerika bomber" and it could reach America, then it would need to be intercepted and fast! And this is my answer to the Luft 46 bombers. It started out a High planes kit from Australia. The fuslage, canopy, props and spinner are High planes. The wings, landing gear, and horizontal stablizer and decals are Tamiya. Wheels are True Details. Cockpit is Verlinden. Wing pylon and drop tanks are Monogram. Cannons are Quick boost. TuveB
;) :D I love your (Super-) Mustang. If this is the F-51R whats was it's turbinepowered cousin called? F-51T?
JasonW
That is a great looking build there. Very nice. I love the concept.
Phil marchese
:jaw-dropping: I love your (Super-) Mustang. If this is the F-51R whats was it's turbinepowered cousin called? F-51T? I'm sure many have seen my P-78F that has been over at HS for several years. I not do an Ask. com search on my name an you should get there quickly. It is done as a pointercepte (Secpter) defense plane. It carries a RCN based on canx P-40 s/n. It assume the B remained the P-78 and factory codes replced the C&K, while allowing for the D,F.G& J stangs in reacching the P-78F. Have a look at this contra prop climber. Phil Marchese You did a great job on P-78-F !!! It would be nice to see the P-78-F built. It looked a lot more feasible than the XP-55 Assender. A turbine powered F-51-T sounds like a fun one to build. I'll add it to the What If.... list I have. You might like my F7F-3 Junglecat in progress here. Thanks for looking. RCoulter52
:) I love your (Super-) Mustang. If this is the F-51R whats was it's turbinepowered cousin called? F-51T? No..... it was the Piper PA-48 Enforcer..... Randie
TuveB
I know about the enforcer. Hmmm, if that is the cousin then the F-51T is the younger brother.
DonSS3
Nice Enforcer pics, Randie. I haven't seen those before. I hadn't realized how "skinny" the fuselage looks without the belly intake trunk. Edited March 21, 2011 by DonSS3
