vesthepes
Hi My presented build is gonna be Nigerian AF MiG-21MF NAF 671 from 1975. I found a nice photo of the fishbed and it will be a nice ref for the build. The kit is a profipack MF by Eduard with an addition of Berna decals - African MiGs. OK, let's kick off, nothing is glued yet just painted and tested for fitting, sry for the photo quality, did 'em with my phone and the lighting is weak... the cockpit: for the exhaust I used an old IDE cable - you remember those :)/>/>/> I hatched the areas that will be cut out - I intend to scratch-build some avionics That's it for now, tbc soon

vesthepes
Some progress has been made, some scratchbuilding partially seen here, prepared for priming and pre shading... and after some painting. I used Tamiya paint as primer and AKAN for the underside blue... The topside camo still has to come... cheers Edited November 25, 2013 by vesthepes

dragan_mig31
Nicee :)
vesthepes
Thanks. It's painted with a mix of Tamiya desert yellow and dark yellow for the sand color and the green one is tamiya dark green with a mix of field gray -which is actually green. I almost never buy exact colors by guidelines, I prefer mixing the ones I have and use paints by visual references.. Here's the follow up. Decals placed and faded, couple of protective coats applied, weathering done, landing gear assembled, ej. seat is done,...still some detailing and wiring to do. Currently working on UB-16s and S-24s
