thatguy96
So the 374th Contracting Squadron, Pacific Air Forces included these two photos of what I believe are UH-60 aircraft assigned to the US Army Aviation Battalion, Japan as part of a sources sought notice for "VIP Aircraft Kit." Figured people here might be interested in them as you don't always see this level of interior detail. This Army unit provides VIP transport services and is assigned to US Army, Japan. Up until last year was designated as the 78th Aviation Battalion (Provisional).
11bee
Nice carpet, looks plush. Who's going to be first to offer up a 1/35 scale resin wall to wall carpet, complete with decal for the unit logo? Kidding aside, thanks for posting. Don't see many pics of these VIP helos. Interesting to see how the "best and brightest" travel :)/>/> Edited July 11, 2014 by 11bee
troschi
Nice carpet, looks plush. The carpet yes, but the extracushions for the standard troop seats don't look that comfy ... how the "best and brightest" travel :)/>/>/>/> I guess the VVIP prefer other kind of seating :D/> Nevertheless, very interesting pics (VIP haha :rolleyes:/>) as I have a 78th Japan detachment UH-60 from Hasegawa in my stash. Here a sample of the German Air Force UH-1D VIP equipment (withdrawn some years ago): http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/53/9853/3931343866383137.jpg http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/53/9853/3836663862303462.jpg http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/53/9853/3032643265333133.jpg and for our "chancellorette" in a Federal Police's AS-332 Super Puma: http://www.helionline.net/693-420500-031448/photogallery/1/1/39184/ Edited July 11, 2014 by troschi
