habu2
Did anyone ever produce an injection-molded kit for the BAe EAP prototype, forerunner to the Typhoon, in any scale? I understand there was a resin 1/72 kit but, in addition to being hard to find, it didn't get very kind reviews. I was at Farnborough in 1986 and got to see the EAP and Rafale A fly daily. I have the Heller Rafale A kit, was looking for an EAP to complement it. Edited July 26, 2014 by habu2
Jennings
Pegasus made one in the 80s Edited July 26, 2014 by Jennings
Wild Weasel V
As Jennings says, there was the Pegasus kit may years ago but that was very rough and considered to be underscale http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/24451-pegasus-eap-kit/. The best kit is said to be the resin kit from Freightdog Models as part of their Silver Cloud range. It originally was issued in 2010 but re-released last year: http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,36711.0.html. They soon sold out though, with no indication if there'll be any more. spike7451
I believe Airfix also made one years ago,I remember building one &,at the time,Airfix & Matchbox were the only real contenders.

G_Marcat_Italy
for the Freightdog kit look: a little, fast review or GOOGLE I have on the my hard disk a set of 3 pre production images of the Freightdog EAP divided into pieces, it really look good. in the march 1988 of an UK magazine there was this: this brave man has done a 1/32 model of the EAP from SCRATCH... I would to see more images of this beast. Unfortunately in 1988 there was not internet. The Uk magazine Scale Aviation Modeller Volume 15 Issue 3 March 2009 published a complete article from a modeler that has done a 1/48 EAP using the engine zone taken from a Tornado and scratchbuilding the remainig parts. I would to replicate this building but a thing is to do whatifs another thing is to follow a preciso drawing.
4scourge7
I believe Airfix also made one years ago,I remember building one &,at the time,Airfix & Matchbox were the only real contenders. Airfix trailed that they were to release an `ACA` (Agile Combat Aircraft) which was the twin-tailed mock-up that, in-turn, would become the EAP. Never released unfortuneatly, I think it was the year Airfix got into big trouble; early eighties (1982-3?). Cheers, Ian Edit- I have the Pegasus EAP and can confirm that it is poor and it is too small. Edited July 27, 2014 by Ian Buick
morf
Habu, are you still looking for an EAP kit? I've got one of the pegasus ones which is part made, I've done all the basic assembly and put a first coat of paint on it, so it needs sanding and finishing. If you want it you can have it for the cost of the postage. Morf

I would to see more images of this beast. Unfortunately in 1988 there was not internet. This modeler (David Haggas, if I am not mistaken) had done some amazing stuff in the mid 1980s, including a very nice 1/24 AV-8B modified from the Airfix Harrier kit. I remember reading the articles - he was fairly young at the time. I often wondered whether he still builds models. Edited November 30, 2015 by KursadA

Thank you for the kind words above Gentlemen. I came across this by accident! Regarding the above model. I still have it as do I still have the AV-8B.
