Janissary
Gorgeous! Can you talk a little bit about the kit? As far as I remember, it got a bad rap but looks like it is just fine. Any comments on accuracy, ease of build, and detail quality?
Spad
Thank you all for leaving a comment! Gorgeous! Can you talk a little bit about the kit? As far as I remember, it got a bad rap but looks like it is just fine. Any comments on accuracy, ease of build, and detail quality? As for the kit, I give you my personal opinion because this is the third model that I do and I got to know him a little. The kit is easy to assemble, it's also great for those who have never had contact with the 1/32. I have not compared it with scale drawings, but this is something I never do because if the model reminds me the real plane then do not matter a few millimeters either way and in this case for me the model has caught good forms real aircraft. Some minor improvement work would be done, but they are small details to everyone and definitely a viable alternative to the kits that were already on the market. For me, the model is also nice OOB but lately I've seen that Eduard has marketed many aftermarket for this model. The joints are good, the putty to use is just ... well, a model that not too many headaches! I hope I was clear, my English is not one of the best
hooter
You can never have too many F-104's, and that's a superb model you've made, spad.

It's nice to see someone that builds like most, in otherwords, me. I build mostly OOB, except for decals. You built a CF-104, and did an excellent job. Your top-notch paint job, weathering, attention to detail, etc. gets more attention from 99.9% of those who will look at it than the .1% who will notice that it may be a millimeter or two off here and there. Unless you are going to enter it into the IPMS Nationals, almost no one but the judges and the scale/detail police will notice. I will admit, though, that I have recently bought some aftermarket stuff besides decals. I have some plans coming up to use some photo-etched brass(Eduard) parts. Again, great job, and we look forward to more of your stuff.

SERNAK
Overall, it is a very nice build though, I have to admit, I don't know much about the Canadian 104s. Love the big wings' markings!!!
Thadeus
I love the paintjob! Could You tell us how did You achieve such a nice effect?
Spad
Thank you for your comments! I love the paintjob! Could You tell us how did You achieve such a nice effect? I only used Alclad, sun a black base I gave Polished Aluminium as base color and then I continued using other colors always Alclad. I gave it a coat of Aqua Gloss always Alclad and then I applied washes of oil with a medium gray ...... nothing more! :)
Joel_W
Vincenzo, What an outstanding build. Who really cares if it's mostly a OOB build. For me it's all about the final presentation that a model makes, and yours makes as strong of a statement as one could ever hope for. Rock Solid build Outstanding NMF Superb weathering especially on various NMF panels by the engines. It really does look like Natural Metal. Dealing that has that painted on look. Over all finish is consistent with what one would see if they were looking at the real deal. Like I said, just an outstanding build. Joel
