HeavyArty
It is actually a USMC M60A1 RISE/Passive (RISE - Reliability Improved Selected Equipment ((upgraded engine, new top-loading air cleaners, and other propulsion upgrades); Passive - passive night vision sights) tank used from the mid to late '70s through the early '90s. M60A1 RISE/Passive Most USMC M60A1 RISE/Passive tanks were fitted with reactive armor tiles for Operation Desert Storm (ODS), '90-'91 as well. (Tamiya kit #35157) The M60A3 was a US Army version during roughly the same time period, fielded '79. It had a thermal cover on the barrel that made the barrel look fatter, a different gunner's sight on the top right side of the turret with a rounded cover that came over the glass when not in use, and a slightly different sight blister on the right side of the turret that had a cover since it contained a laser range-finder in it (left side was now a dummy and empty), and a crosswind sensor on the rear of the turret. M60A3 TTS (Tamiya kit #35140) The USMC never bought the M60A3, but did get a few as hand-me-downs from the US Army during ODS as the Army replaced them w/M1A1 Abrams in the Saudi desert before the ground war began. The M60A3 TTS (Tank Thermal Sight) version the USMC got from the Army had better night-fighting capabilities than their M60A1 RISE/Passive tanks did. All M60A1/A3 tanks were replaced with M1A1 Abrams in regular US Army and USMC units shortly after Desert Storm as well. Still looks pretty good though. It looks as though the decals are a little silvered and you missed painting the tail lights and headlights on it. The right side headlight should be gloss black (IR light) and the left side gloss silver (clear light). The kit tail lights are horrible. They should look like this though. Only the left upper oval is red. The rest are dark slits and part of the black-out drive lighting system. The gunner's sight on the right front of the turret and the driver's periscope in front of the driver's hatch both need to be filled in and painted in clear green like you did the TC's cupola glass as well. Other than that, a pretty good looking build. Edited February 10, 2016 by HeavyArty
Aigore
Thanx HeavyArty :D Indeed, you're 100% correct :D It being such a long drawn build I kind of omitted one or two things at the end to get it done :P
