oppenheimerj
Hello everyone, after a few months away from the bench i decided try with this one to see if my modelling MOJO is back, this is a 1/32 Tamiya A6M2 ZERO it will make a good companion to my other 2 Tamiya birds, so far just the cockpit is done, the oxigen bottles will be without any lines cause they wont be visible at all when the fuselage is close. This will be a OOB build
Major Walt
It looks like your Mojo is intact and doing well. Great work so far!

toadwbg
Great start. I'm finishing up my Tamiya A6M5 right now myself. Really enjoyed building this kit.
kellyF15
That looks great! I am currently waiting on a Tamiya 1/32 F4U-1, so I hope it goes together as well as the P-51 and the Zero.
oppenheimerj
kellyF15, you will find the Corsair a pleasure to build, it goes together much better than the P-51 and the Zero, i have done both, for me the Zero is the only one a i have to use some putty on the seams, probably beacuse is an old kit
A-10 LOADER
Whatever happened with the Prowler Jorge ?? Steve
oppenheimerj
Hi Steve, i got tired of the prowler, at the end is still looking like a toy and not like a model, i will never buy another Kinetic kit Jorge
kike
Glad to see you back at it bro! somehow I missed this thred! bookmarked now! keep it coming!
Rocat
Nice start, I'm following! Are the belts included in the box? TIA.
oppenheimerj
Yes ROCAT they are included, the worst is that they are printed in paper
oppenheimerj
so far not much of a progress, just glue and sandpaper, fuselage and wing are in place, just painted the gear wells and testing on the elevator to see how can i get a fabric covered elevator looks, i think they are ok so they will stay with that finish, also added Eduard flaps set the wheel wells are not that impressive, this airplane is so simple that looks like a toy, just a single hydraulic line in it
oppenheimerj
the base color lighted with white is on, now a have to crack my head on how to weather this tone of paint without over doing it, this is going to be difficult , never painted this color on an aircraft before, also painted some spot in silver for a small chipping, navy Zeros were not that chipped as army Zeros reworked the fabric elevators so they wont look that worn
kike
So sexy!!
Skinny_Mike
Very nice Jorge! The fabric effect is fantastic!
oppenheimerj
this are the first tryouts on weathering this terrible color, i thinks it looks nice, just have to fix minnor details, any critics or ideas are welcome,
oppenheimerj
Ok, so here it is, ready for roundels and codes to be painted and after that the paneling job will start, kind of start liking this color, didn't like at all at the beginning looks like a rotten egg, i have a doubt about the red of the roundels, did it fade under the sun?? i have read that the red color was a strong paint and even if the airplane was all bitten up the red color stayed unfaded, is that true, i dont whant to mess it up.
