BillL
Here are some pics of my latest project, Hasegawa's 1/48 Nakajima B6N Tenzan ( codename "Jill"). This is my second one using Eduard PE details and a Squadron vac canopy. This is also my first comission work. I mixed Gunze acrylics for the Nakajima cockpit color, and the bomb & torpedo sights are Alcad steel. The engine was painted with Alcad duraluminum, and the ignition harness is PE. Since this is for someone else, I find myself putting more care into the build. I actually like this one more than my own. Maybe I'll just build for other people for a while. It seems to be more satisfying that way. Thanks for letting me share the progress with you !
Marcin_S
 Looks like another beauty. Great work Bill, as always. :)

BillL
Thanks Marcin and D_IcarUS_ ! Hasegawa's stock cockpit is very crisply molded. Adding the Eduard PE really enhances it, though. Glad you like it !
hawkhornet
wow BillL This is great, your work is always so nice!!
BillL
Thanks hawkhornet ! I have a lot of time to build, so I go slowly and carefully. I'm not the kind of person that enjoys having to re-do something.

Mikeew
Nice work as always BillL That interior is phenomenally well painted Your attention to detail is superb. keep us posted matey! Mike.
BillL
Thanks Ricedd and Mikeew ! Ricedd - the fuselage will go together this week, and may get painted also. I'll post more pics then. Mikeew - I use lots of light and magnification. I use my newest #000 brush for the smallest stuff, and a slightly older one for small details. I also take my time. I've probably put 20 or more hours into this 'pit. Thanks again !
David Walker
So you've got this and the C-47 going at the same time? That's ambitious. The Jill progress looks great and congratulations on the commission work.
Lansen
I'd say you've done a great job so far, especially on the cockpit. The engine is looking good too, but it would surely benefit from a gentle wash on the cylinders to bring out the texture.
BillL
Thanks David and Lansen ! David - I always have a few builds going at once. In addition to those two, I'm also building Tauro's 1/48 Macchi Mc 202, and this one: Ta 152H-1 in the works I spend 30 to 50 hours a week building. I have to have something to do while the paint is drying ! Lansen - I decided not to do a wash after I fitted the painted engine into the cowling. The interior of the cowl is black, and the shadows don't need reinforcement. Adding a wash would have exaggerating the shadows, rather than reinforcing them. I'm a strong believer in the subtle approach. I don't care to make anything stand out that doesn't on a photo of the real thing. Thanks again !
