TheFlyingDutchman Posted August 18, 2006 Share Posted August 18, 2006 Hi, Here are some pics of my Britten Norman Islander. It's an Airfix-kit and nice to build. It's pretty difficult to keep this bird on all it's three legs, because of the heavy tail. I put small metal weights in the nose and engines, but that still wasn't enough.. so I bended the main gear legs a millimeter backwards. That was just enough to keep this on it's wheels. I placed some doors in an opened position, and let the captain sit on his seat with his legs hanging outside :o That's difficult to photograph, but this photo gives you a nice idea of the captain.
