  1. First up, the Manchester from an Airfix Lancaster, using Neil Burkhill's lovely Paragon resin Then the Lancaster from Hasegawa in its GR-3 form A Lincoln from the Hasgawa Lancaster, again using Paragon resin And finally, a Shackleton AEW-2, built many years ago from the Revell (ex Frog) MR-3 Nice to see the progression....
  2. The decals are a mix of the Xtradecal Post War Lancasters and a Kits at War sheet (codes and squadron badge).
  3. Nothing too much involved, Mike. This aircraft had the enlaged carb intakes, taller astrodome and the smoke flare chute at the tail. All the parts are included in the kit. Oh, and the paint job of course.
  4. 1/72 Hasegawa again, with Paragon Hercules engines, scratch built flaps, and a few other bits and pieces
  5. The tail was scratchbuilt. Much cheaper!
  6. Whilst Spitfire XVIIIs did have the E wing, the outer gun bays were still there. The hatches on top of the wing stay, but the ports for spent cases under the wings were not. There is one here
  7. Hasegawa kit with some modifications
  8. The FN- number of the turret referred to the internal assembly and mechanism, not the shape of the cupola, hence the difference. The FN-5 was used on the Lancaster, Stirling and Wellington but all had differing shapes. Try to get hold of Btitish Aircraft Armament (part 1) by R Wallace Clarke and you will find lots of information.
  9. I finished the model a few months ago. Here is how it was before gun barrels were added.
  10. I am not sure if it's any help, but here is my Stirling in 1/72 scale. Airfix kit with a bit of love and care.
