Try Gunze Mr Colors with Gunze's own leveling thinner. (Not the regular thinner, leveling thinner is required for a consistent paint flow). Acrylics are harder to freehand finely, because their pigments tend to be bigger, dry too quick, which causes frequent lockups on the paint nozzle. That's why you need to crank up the air pressure and open the nozzle wide time to time to flush.
In my experience, paint is the key to fine lining, not the airbrush or air source. For example, this is freehanded using MrColors and a cheap Badger 200 single action airbrush.
I cannot even come close to this
