Yes, good call. I'll add a watermark, even if it doesn't stop the dudes - it will make me feel better. I'm not opposed to doing other scales. In fact everyone so far has advised me that 1/32 and 1/72 sell very little compared to 1/48. I'm contemplating doing multiscale sheets, but this limits how many aircraft will be done on a sheet. No matter what I'm trying to be wise so that I don't make major financial mistakes... Worse case if this doesn't work out business wise, I'll make the artwork available and people kind figure out how to print it themselves. -

The printing process is where I'm at now, and as a newbie, it's kind of daunting. Minimum sheet printed scare me the most with a 1/32 scale sheet. I don't want to be stuck with sheets for years... especially if it's my first sheet. You can do one offs for about $20-30 at fusion scale graphics (They print nicely), but they are not precut, so you need to cut out your decals close to the print. -
Hello! This all started because the lack of 1/32 E/A-18G decals left me rather frustrated. There are so many cool growler jets! So I picked up a copy of Affinity Designer and began to learn how to draw in vectors. Fun Times! Many slow and tedious hours, but I think I'm finally getting the hang of it. I'm not sure how viable this all is, but I've decided to take a stab at designing and selling decals. The plan is to keep it simple, print in limited quantities (so that I'm not stuck with sheets for years that don't sell), and for now sell them on ebay. Next step is to get some sample cop

Looking for: Superscale 48-1253 This morning I had the privilege of having coffee with an A-6 pilot from VA-196 during the early 80s. He did 2 cruises on the coral sea. I'd like to build him a kit, but I need this decal sheet which is an exact match for his time in the navy. He is a fine gentleman, battling Parkinson's disease. Let me know if you have a copy, I'd be happy to pay!

Building a Hornet for a plane captain... Need help!
mynameismatt replied to mynameismatt's topic in Jet Modeling
Thanks Neeko, thats a ton of help. I didn't think about looking for baby hornet decal sheet as a starting point. I'll pick up the aeromaster sheet and see what I can do with it. I've also picked up the TwoBobs CAG sheet as it was during his time frame on the boat as well, but I hope it will be a backup option. -
I reconnected with an old high school friend who was in the navy from 2006 - 2010. Turns out he was a plane captain in VFA-137. He had his name painted on the jet - very cool! If possible, I'd like to build a model for him using the 1/48 Revell kit. The problem looks like there are only aftermaket CAG decals available. Did anyone make a low vis sheet? thanks for your help!

Well I took a chance and ordered the kit from kitlinx. Total with shipping came to $41. Thanks for the recommendations!

The new Revell kit seems to be sold out in all the usual places. Is anyone aware of an online store that has this in stock at normal retail prices? Or maybe one of you has an extra willing to offload? Thanks Matt

Woohoo! I for one like the changes....It's like a fresh coat of paint!
