  1. The project to build new wings has not been canceled.
  2. If its an A-10C then its capable of carrying JDAM's
  3. I will be at D-M on the 4th for a few weeks for some A-10 egress recerts. Looking forward to trying out my new camera while I am there!
  4. It is how you say? Any landing you can walk away from? Now turn around and walk away. FRITZ!!!!! GET MY WHEELCHAIR!!!! MACH SCHNELL.
  5. "are those little puffs of smoke either side of the nose gear leg??? If yes, from what???" Yes they are little puffs of smoke, they would be from the engines oil vent system. Very common jet engine occurance.
  6. Not a real wonderful pic but try this one. http://www.a-10.org/photos/Photos5857/a10.jpg
  7. "If anybody is down at Homestead, can someone take pictures of 86-053, that was my ride." How funny is that? When 86-053 was in the 419th I was the crew dawg on it (before 230).
  8. Is it just me or does the pilot wiping his eye's in murph's sig line look like Scott O'Grady?
  9. Its not a new idea either. They were doing it when I got to the unit in 1988.
  10. WOW! Great pics!!!! I am a retired member of the 419th, I spent 11 years on that flightline. 230 was the jet I crewed, very nice to see her looking so good.
  11. Nice work! I can assure you as a former depot mechanic that they did not have the scab plates during the time frame that you mentioned. I worked the block 40/42's doing that mod and it started in mid 95.
  12. WOW! 230 is my old jet! thanks for the pics
  13. The horizontal stabs were reconditioned at Hill AFB in the building right next to mine.
